Facts of hypnosis

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a mental state where the body and conscious mind are fully relax while the subconscious mind is alert, awake and able to receive suggestions.  Hypnosis is a process of communication-education to the person’s mind that allows the subconscious and conscious mind to believe the same thing.

How does Hypnosis work?

While the conscious mind rest, the hypnotherapist makes suggestions to the subconscious mind.  This way the intellectual mind does not argue with or change the suggestions. If the suggestions do not conflict with the person’s belief system, moral and ethical views, the subconscious mind accepts the suggestion as true. Over a period of time the subconscious mind informs the alert conscious mind of the new reality.

Who can be Hypnotized?

Anyone who has the desire and is willing and able to follow the hypnotherapist instructions can be hypnotized.

Actually, the subconscious accepts nothing. It is the id or the subjective mind that accepts what it is suggested. I am going off the model of Conscious ... subjective mind(id) ... subconscious. The "id" or the "lamb" will do whatever it is told.  It is the conscious that does not accept or agree with the suggestion of the Hypnotist. When there is a disagreement between the Conscious and the subjective mind it is a state of Neurosis. For example, if the subjective mind were told to have a homosexual attachment or craving and the conscious disagrees, that person would experience homosexual neurosis. The craving or energy would arise to the dismay of the conscious. The conscious would not like the level of energy attached to the social component. It is not actually the energy but the component and  level of energy .

Could hypnosis be dangerous then? Are there any chances that the person being hypnotized might be affected in any way?

Absolutely, a person can be affected by hypnosis. But, it is not necessary for the person to continue to have the attachment at energy levels not welcome by the person. Like when someone no longer has that desire to be with that person they met years ago. The energy has aligned with another component. Hypnosis bypasses the conscious. If the conscious has not been bypassed, the individual is barely hypnotized and doing what they would do anyway.
If someone can recognize that they are having unwanted thoughts, they should take the time to find out the origins of these thoughts. That can be difficult. There then lies the thought people have that they must be born with the thoughts they have. It is energy present at time of presentation attaching.

A person need not be willing or desirous to be hypnotized in order to be hypnotized if drugs are implemented.  One drug used by organized crime to force unwilling people is rohybnol. I misspelled it. But these type of drugs block the communication between the Conscious and the Subjective mind leaving the Subjective mind available to do whatever another tells it. Like date rape that could be recorded and the victim would look like a volunteer. The victim would need years to remember fully the account.
