Outside stimuli
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:34:23 PM »
I have allowed outside stimuli to control me because it made me doubt what I should have done in that situation. Not understanding the present issue (with doubt). Fearing I might make the wrong mistake. I have buckled under to fear anger and misunderstanding. I now see and understand why I did what I did. But my past has come back to haunt me. They say ones sins always catch up with you. I cannot go back to even explain why I did what I did because I have been judged and will never be forgiven. That weighs on me. Theres nothing I can attempt to do too even be exonerated ? How do I forgive myself for something I should have known better but allowed outside forces to control me? pljames

you know better now, did you know it was wrong when you sinned?

What makes you think that you would have understood pljames?  What encompasses understanding for you?

so your conscience informs you if something is wrong. if your conscience does not inform you something is wrong then for you, at that time, it is not wrong.

your decision at that time was based on your current level of understanding of right and wrong. as you have grown and understand more, your morals and values have changed. now, something that you done in the past without understanding has a different meaning and you have a different understanding of what is right and wrong.

you cannot change what happened and you may not be able to forget it but it was a learning curve.

a process of understanding right from wrong, emotions of guilt and embarressment are indicators of incorrect action (or thinking) and motivators of correct action (or thinking).

your experience educates you as you learn to live in harmony with your environment. understand what you have learned from this experience. you may even come to value it as a great education.
