I have read that research suggests that ones personality may be genetic. Does this mean that I have my mothers or fathers personality?
Any human behaviour can be both genetic and enviromental caused.

If it's about temperament and behavior, personalities are not genetic at all, they are learned from observing our parents, close friends, and the media which in my opinion constitutes stereotypes. There are people who look like you, people who behave like you do and don't have your parents, even more, they are half across the world, no genetic relationship.
There was a time when the populations wasn't  at 7 billion, but at 7 million, a number of tribes with they're own behavior and temperament stereotypes which were passed through observing until today.
That's what i think. :)

That is so blatantly wrong!

Twin children studies raising them, is a good proof of equal parenting still leaves different personallities in the children. The neurons and hormons level will always differ a slightly bit in each child, why they will naturally act differently.

It's very rare that parenting is equal towards children, even twins. They will act differently because of the report of the parent towards one of them, and same with the other, basically different . This may only be different in the identical twins, which in this case is still about the report of the parent towards the children, the difference is the report is very similar because of the identical features and the parents on an subconscious level they don't make the difference between them.

You are purely speaking out of assumptions and spekulation, it would be good for you to study the subject in a more scientific manner.

Thanks.

Short answer: yes
bit longer answer: yes, but like with your other genetic make up, how the genes get activated is partly determined by your environment. Some personality factors have less to do with wnvieonmental factors, some of them activate at very young age pretty much automatically. for example extraversion, you can spot an extravert even in very young babies. and even tho people may vary slightly on extraversion scale, its pretty much impossible to turn into introvert, even if you get depressed and dont display the natural extraversion and dont want to communicate with people etc, you are just depressed extravert, not really an introvert.
