FinalLee; In reference to 'bell curve'. What is the most common, daily, garden variety of problems? Probably no-one ever says; " My involuntary reacts to cues, both inner and outer, and the unpleasant reactions I find problematic.I would  like to be empowered to be in charge of my conditioning instead of vice versa." You wont hear that, but that's the essence of most "problems".
And , yes understanding the principle underlying the placebo effect would go a long way alleviating and avoiding 'conditioning' being in charge, like the tail wagging the dog. Those who don't understand yet, will deride such obvious workable solution.  Principles explain myriad similar specific 'problems'.
You might find the article, on line, "On Being Sane In Insane Places" ; it shows how even psychiatrists don't understand the placebo effect because several were 'fooled'  by believing their thought-images were real and they reacted to their images rather than to the people.  lol, I'm sure it's embarassing to all so called 'experts'.

sakoz: I don't think I disagree with you as much as you seem to think or want me to disagree with you.

As as rule, I can't think of one area of life where I believe in "The One Right Answer to Everything".

I don't think I have a lot more to say in this discussion once the "you are only disagreeing with me because you're being resistant" card gets pulled out.  Thanks for the discussion.

You wont read the article? Isn't that resistant? ( Would you let me know if you do? that would be our last communication?) I didn't write the article. No-one here admitted they read it , you would be the first if you do. I would "love" to read your comments about it.
