Can You Handle The truth ?
« on: October 15, 2011, 05:27:12 PM »
I don't know the ratio of people that believe emotions are externally caused  and those that believe emotions are reactions to believed thoughts.
When you 'mistakenly/unwittingly' believe a false to fact thought, you experience/suffer the consequences of reacting to the thought.
It's also true that such false thoughts are derived from your brain. (awesome). You can deny this (especially if you believe emotions are externaly caused/triggered) for now, but when your 'ready', you will face the truth of the effects of your beliefs.
Another 'truth', our brain 'produces' false thoughts with the same ease as true ones, our brain and the thoughts it 'produces' is not infallible; yet we react as if they were infallible. Why? The dictionary explains why. The definition of the word 'believe': "to take as true, real". Our involuntary 'takes' that "literally". Our 'believed-thought-images' "become/seem" like 'real' perceptions as if from/of environment, and therefore reacts as 'hard-wired' to do so.

The absolute truth is absolute. The truth can be questioned. It comes down to what the persons wants to believe absolute or truth. But in the end of the matter is "does one want to die for what they believe, the truth is" be it absolute or truth. pljames
