Classical conditioning in television advertisements
« on: May 06, 2009, 01:10:06 AM »
Hello, I have a project that I need to get done, and it is on classical conditioning in television advertisements. I don't have t.v. at the moment, and they have to be commercials that are on air right now, could anyone give me like two examples, they have to have an unconditioned stimulus/reponse and a conditioned stimulus/response, you can leave it up to me to figure it out or let me know what they are, doesnt matter. thanks

where are you studying. the adverts need to be current adverst in your country or anywhere in the world?

check this one, running now in UK.

i am not sure what the stimulus/ response are for that one, ;D i just think its great.

there are also examples of classical conditioning in the following advert.

this advert makes you think of food and talks you through the images of food with graphic sensual descriptions it then pairs this sensation with the name of the company. just at the peak of your salivation, you are informed "this is not just food this is M&S food." *mmm, i like m&s*

the M&S ad has spawned a million spoofs on youtube such as this one

The so-called miraculous powers of a great master are a natural accompaniment to his exact understanding of subtle laws that operate in the inner cosmos of consciousness.
