Colorless Dream

I had the most surreal dream I've ever had.

I will try to summarize.
First major theme, I could move through time/space. Kind of like apparating in Harry Potter. I thought about it, I felt the world 'squeeze' around me, and I would disappear and appear somewhere new. It was very cool.

At one point I am walking with a young man (I am a young woman in waking life). We are outside walking from one building to another. I notice that the whole world around us is a brilliant black and white. Each object (trees, people) are a black outline. It is very bright. It looks like something you could maybe do with a video camera, changing the settings and all. It looked really cool and I was intrigued. The man asked me something about death. How I felt about it. I thought to myself "I might be dead right now. But maybe not. I have no idea and there is no way I will ever know." (This is similar to a feeling I have about waking reality).

Then I was somewhere else when the world became outlined again. Except this time some bananas and a friend's tshirt shined were a brilliant yellow. It was beautiful and I thought to myself "Yellow must be my color". Then I started jumping and the whole world bounced with me and I felt like I was on a trampoline. Then I got nervous that people would see me acting ridiculous. I felt like I was on drugs and I got very anxious. I went to leave but had to bring me and my friends stuff. I kept dropping stuff and no one helped me pick them up.

So the last part of the dream is easy to analyze. I am overwhelmed (I am a college student graduating soon thus very busy!)
But the color stuff was so strange! And cool! It must have something to do with the stage of sleep I was in. I've heard that at different levels of sleep different are more prominent. I know that many of my dreams take on a deep blue/purplish hue. But this was out of this world!

Just thought I'd share my dream. Any thoughts on the colors or the dream or anything?

not sure how i missed this post.

it is very rare that i experience true colour in my dreams. my dreams are generally in dull tones. in colour but dark and dull. like if you close your eyes and look at the inside of your eyelids, then turn your face to different intensity of light, or cover your eyes, those kind of colours are what i dream. of course i have no idea what colour you see on the inside of your eyelids.

in relation to your analysis of your dream, think about your perceptions of the world. changing your outlook on life. seeing things in a new way. finding the real world contains a lot more than you intitially thougth and finding this exciting or interesting.

maybe something along those lines ??

I've always wondered if the realm of dreams and the realm of psychedelics are related.  They are both amazing places, testaments to the power of the human mind.  I must explore these realms further.

I think this is the complex dream I had ever heard of. It looks like you have good imagination power or else it is hard to have a dream like this. Our mind has the capability to dream in random and often such dreams don't get any meaning to real life and it would be just a dream.

Well, I never thinks about color in my dream. Your post make me thinking of it, and I just realize that mostly no color in my dreams, just black and white....or gray.

Hi everyone..

am a new guy.. not professional.. its my hobby and interest... i would like to add my opinion about this dream..

my analysis may look stupid.. sorry if am wrong..

According to the dreams,

1. she is woman is real life..

2. Iin the dream she walks with a YOUNG MAN:

   This could be a guy who is her friends brother or neigbhour.. but he is definitely young..

3. everything is black & white..

Am  not able to find a reason for this point... 

4. Banana Yellow Color :

    She might be interested in a male sexual organ... banana bcoz of similar shape..

5. Friend's T-Shirt:

    Could be a guy.. whom she likes... may be she meet him 1st time in yellow color dress..

6. Jumping and the whole world bounced with me :

   Could refer to the sex act she wants to do or which she had with that guy..

7. felt like I was on a trampoline :

   May be associating to a condom or female conterspetive...

8. I got nervous that people would see me acting ridiculous :

    she believes that the society or her friends or family will  not like her relation with that. (may be since he is young)


This post is dated long time back.. am not sure if u still remember the dream or the guy in reality.. but some expert could tell me if am right or wrong...
