Dream concerning a female representation of God?
« on: April 09, 2011, 05:29:29 AM »
This may sound odd, and redundant from the start, but I had an odd dream the other night and have been wondering about it ever since. I was surrounded by nothing, and then this blue/white glowing being slowly became visible. It didn't outright say it was god, but it was one of those things that you just know. It was a very clearly feminine manifestation, and I would say that if this were real, it was about 8-9 feet tall. it said, "open your eyes. Follow me." Then an old bridge, glowing in the same fashion appeared in front of me. I walked along it and in an instant, i was in this other world. everything was glowing blue/white. It was standing in front of me with outstretched arms and was beckoning me. It said, "I hope you enjoy your stay." I only heard it, as it's mouth wasnt moving. I walked until up to it, and touched it']s hand. At this instant, I had intercourse with it. and i felt like i had just run a marathon when i woke up. i was exhausted and movement was restricted. The following day, I was calm (not the norm for me) and ive been wondering about this ever since.

"and I have been wondering about this ever since"

what have you been wondering since the dream?

First off this was a DREAM usually dreams form from what we have experienced during the day in metaphors. Let's look at this in more detail.
Was there anything blue, white in your day?
Did something become clear to you in your day?
Tall female in your day? etc etc etc..
As you go on it becomes clear this was a 'sexual' experience which are common when the body has been 'derived' of sex for some time. This is a way the body releases 'pent' up tension.. through sexual dream experiences, which are all too real and orgasmic.

Neuroscientist discovered there is a bit in the brain responsible for 'religious' thoughts. This area can be stimulated artificially and can give a person a 'spriritual' experience. For example: those who suffer siezures often describe 'spritirual experiences' it is thought Mohammed in Islamic faith was epileptic, therefore experienced this and believed he was a prophet. The same effect can be produced 'artificially'.. Also interesting is the above the body experience, we've all heard the testimonies of those who experiences this when 'technically' died for a few moments in the operating theatre. You don't need to die to experience this, but just have that bit of the brain stimulated to experience it..

Your experience as described above is
1. a dream - usually metaphors for what we see, think, desire.
2. a sexual experiences - the calming the day after is the release of pent up sexual energy.
3. you interpreted it as a spiritual experience.
.

That's it in a nutshell.

There is much online about neuroscience and religion and why people interpret experience to be spiritual.. also interesting sex in dreams... to explore this further if you're interested in understanding your dream.

Edit: if you are 'religious' the blue and white could symbolise what they respresent to you and in conflict: ie: blue=pornograph and white=spirit.

I've copied and pasted this as is interesting dream/sex stuff:

"The mind has something called a 'dream censor', which tends to 'clean up' dreams.

So, if a person who has a very strict puritanical outlook starts to have a sexy dream, their dream censor may alter that dream so that very 'rude' things are replaced by symbols.

Thus, a man of strict sexual morals may have a deep, unconscious desire to have sex with beautiful women. Instead of dreaming about vaginas, he will keep dreaming about tunnels and subways. Instead of dreaming about breasts he will dream about pleasant hillocks and mounds - and so on.

Similarly, a woman whose sexual morality is very strict won't dream of penises. Instead, she'll dream of penile symbols, like:

    * church spires
    * rockets
    * cigars
    * tall chimneys.

However, in our experience, this kind of 'dream symbolism' seems to be less common than it used to be. People are less 'hung up' than they were a generation or so ago - which is why they tend to dream about explicit sex, rather than symbols"...

I have been wondering why I had the dream, or what could've brought that sort of dream, if you will.

 That day didnt hold any value, really. I didn't see any of those things and nothing became clear. Also, I am not really religious, but I have wondered and asked questions about it.

It is fact that is how dreams are formed, you can deny it, but the fact remains, weather you observed it, remembered or forgot. In your last post you are trying to justify to yourself and to me that the spiritual ideas you have already arrived at are real, but you are CHOOSING TO BELIEVE it real. Otherwise you would have explored the psycology of dreams.. but you haven't.. which means you are quite happy at the conclusion you have already arrived at. However false that is.

understanding why you had the dream may be easier when youunderstand the meaning of the content.

so do you have any thoughts about the meaning of these symbols yourself? what kind of things do you associate with when you remember these images?

It's a beautiful dream. I agree with SWM that these are YOUR symbols so you ultimately need to be the interpreter.

Some people suggest asking yourself (your unconscious / spirit / god) your questions before you go to bed. Try keeping a pad and pencil next to your bed and write down your dreams immediately you wake up (it's far more likely you'll capture them this way). Often a pattern appears.

Sounds like an alien abduction to me LOL!  :-\

Actually all my life I have had strange dreams. People keep telling me they mean this or that. It is because of this or because of that. I just think it is because I have a very active imagination. This is why I am an inventor and a writer.
Time is all we really have.

We do not own the earth. We are borrowing it from our children.

Is that what you really think?

How many ignorant people does it take to destroy a planet?
