Field of psychology dealing with indirect questionnare?
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:29:15 AM »
Is there a definite field in psychology which deals with indirect questioning?
Years ago, a friend of mine asked me a question. It is as follows. "You have a girl friend and she invited you to her home for dinner. Now, you have a car and there are two ways to drive to her home. One is quite short but not a pleasant route to drive. The other is a very long route but has a excellent road and the view is scenic. Which route would you take when you go and which one would you prefer when you are returning?" My answer was the shortest route while going to her home and the longest while coming back. Because I want to see her and spend time with her as soon as possible and when going back I want to drive peacefully while recollecting all the memories of the evening. Then she said that "I easily fall in love but when there is a breakup it is very hard for me to get over the relationship" which is quite true to my nature.

Now, I am looking for the field of psychology to do some research, as I want to develop a story for a short film based on this subject. Can anyone tell me if you know... The closest I could come across was Psychometry .... I think there must be a more exact field working on the subject of my interest...

Please help me out...
