Hello,
I am a psychology student currently working on a presentation about the MMPI. I am looking for some people who have taken the MMPI in a clinical setting (with a psychologist, not online on your own) to answer a couple of questions about how they felt about the test.
If you have taken the test and are willing (you do not need to supply your name or any other identifying information, and may reply privately if you wish), please consider the following questions and answer any you are comfortable answering.
1. Did you take the MMPI for employment or as part of a personal psychological visit? (Please answer this question!)
2.When you were taking the test, did you feel like it was asking questions that matched with what you were told the test would be measuring?
3. Did you have concerns about how the results of the test would be used? If so, what were some of those concerns? Were the concerns addressed by the psychologist?
4. Were you familiar with the MMPI before you took it? If you were, what was your opinion/impression of the test before you saw it?
5. If this was for employment: Do you think this is the best test out there for employment in your field or do you think a better test could be developed for your specific needs?
6. Would you recommend for other people to take this test? Why or why not?
Thank you all for your help!
