How do you deal with hurt?
« on: November 06, 2011, 12:45:28 PM »
Because of my hurt I have had hurt reciprocated back to me. I have had awful things done to me and I have been called awful things as well. I feel ostracized very depressed. I have contemplated suicide several times. I have been told that I was a piece of crap and that I should go hang myself by a therapist. I haven't killed, physically abused, or raped anyone, but I still have done bad things.

i_dun_no; See my post; " Did You Ever Experience The Placebo Effect". It's almost as if I had you in mind or is it because your case may be a extreme version of a very common 'problem'?

As you sow, so shall you reap. What goes around, comes around. You cannot change the past, but you can make a better future. There are several courses of action you can do in the future. Some people feel it is necessary to make amends for past actions. Either to appologize or to pay some penance. Some sort of forgiveness, either them forgiving you or vice versa. In my opinion this just makes people feel better and doesn't really undo the wrong.

The best thing is to learn from your mistakes. You realize the cause of the problem? Take steps not to repeat it. As far as suicide? Just because people treat you like crap don't take it personally. People can be real jerks. Look at you life and try and find positive things about it and focus on those. If someone is causeing you grief? Decide if they are worth the effort to repair the relationship. If not move on. Change is constant in life. Set realistic goals and work toward them. If something about your personality is not what you would like set goals to change that? Read, learn, become knowledgable about what you need to know to fulfill your goals. Words are very destructive when used carelessly. They also can be very comforting when used correctly. Peace!
Time is all we really have.

We do not own the earth. We are borrowing it from our children.

Is that what you really think?

How many ignorant people does it take to destroy a planet?

i_dun_no;   I agree with your self-diagnosis. Very astute of you to recognize your condition.
