How we percieve
« on: June 02, 2011, 07:05:07 PM »
It just now come to mind that all of us understand differently. (A) said this and (B) said that and (c) said the other.  Until we investigate and make up our own mind how it works we just theorize or assume then we say we know. There are those who were at the first space shuttle lift off, then there was t.v. and they were those who said from the easy chair...it was created in hollywood! Two sets of people percieving the same action from two different viewpoints.

If I learn my abcs in lowercase and believe thats right (until someone say I am wrong) I believe my way.
If I learn my ABCS in uppercase and believe thats right (see last elclispe) that to is my way. Maybe what we first see and believe is correct until we advance out thinking to question or have doubt then we requestion. How many way are there to(learn)? pljames

indeed, many people can witness the same event and all will report something different happening. we see the world as though coloured by our beliefs and expectations.

William Blake says, when the doors of perception are cleansed we will see things as they truly are, infinite.
The so-called miraculous powers of a great master are a natural accompaniment to his exact understanding of subtle laws that operate in the inner cosmos of consciousness.

What if we see what we see as is? Without beliefs or expectations? Great thread. pljames

how would we know what we see is what is?

I see feel and know what I see feel is real. I understand time is a illusion. Drugs bring on illusions did that. But like when looking in a mirror and pinching myself shows me my reality. pl

Imo you are talking about 2 different overlapping concepts, learning and preception is imo 2 vastly different things.

Whenever I see a movie I use my preception to interpet all the things said and done, but I'm not really there to learn, just getting entertained.
But in order to learn, one must have a good preception.
