Do any of you notice that people tend to more readily focus on your negative traits as opposed to your positive ones?

I guess that really depends on the person. I have met people who focus a lot on the positive, to the exclusion almost of the negative. These people often go around happy as a clam, being nice to everyone and not recognizing when they are being trampled on. I will admit though, they are pretty rare. I think people fall in all different areas of the spectrum, but I certainly have met a lot of people that focus on negative aspects of others. Many times they are jealous people, or in some way insecure. They may also just be defensive, perhaps they have been hurt a lot so they are constantly on the lookout for warning signs that someone may be a bad person.
