psychosexual development
« on: October 27, 2009, 02:52:51 AM »
Hello everybody, my name is Paul and i am currently working on a psychology paper for college about freuds psychosexual development theory. ive been searching the internet but there are some questions that cant seem to be answered and would like to try here for some answers. first question, were there actually any studies done on the topic? i know how difficult it would be to study since 'libitio' cannot be measured and thats what the theory is based off of. were there any practices on the subject? schools? etc.?
have there been any theories based off of freuds original theory? or was it shot down since his views on psychology consisted of sex and aggression?

Developmental Psychology books may be of use to you thecrash91. I found a plethora of information on Freud and his work, he seems to be the founder of this area of study.
