The "spirit" of competition
« on: October 09, 2011, 12:32:49 PM »
It's been an interesting journey to being 40 as a guy.  One of the things that I appear to have missed out on is the whole competitiveness that most males seem to show a high penchant for.  I have played team sports, but I never really cared too much about the winning or losing.  Don't get me wrong, but I played hard.  But the main idea of my playing was to be out with the guys doing something.

This isn't to say I don't like winning at something, but I seem to lack the enthusiasm that most other males seem to have for it.  Because of this, I find that I'm poorly equipped to be able to understand it.

What are you guy's thoughts on competitiveness?
