I was looking for something like an improv club or Toastmasters that could help me come out of my shell more, and I wanted something a little bit more intense than a typical, random club, anyone know of some organizations (like volunteer organizations) or clubs that would involve me speaking to a crowd, or organizing some events of some kind?

Have you considered what precipitates/provokes your anxiety? You think the people that make up the audience? Suppose we found the most sympathic/empathic people on earth to make up a audience just for you, would you still feel anxious to speak to them? If so, then the 'cause' of your anxiety is NOT where you 'think' it is.
Think of tasting lemon juice right now, imagine tasting lemon juice till you salivate. This is just to demonsterate that your 'thoughts' can 'trigger' involuntary reactions.
Think of having a large audience; do you feel anxiety even though no 'real' audience is present?
If you don't need a 'real' lemon and you don't need a 'real' audience, then what the hell is going on ?
My favorite example; " Suppose your awakened at 2 am by a noise from the kitchen with the thought; "There's a burglar in the house!" How would you feel?(fear/anxious?) You investigate and find a different cause of the 'noise', you feel relieved. You didn't need a 'real' burglar to experience emotions.

Are you a psychic/fortune-teller? The reason I ask is 'anxiety' is a REaction TO a prediction/expectation. What do you predict/expect a audience will do to you; cut your weenie off?
Anxiety is real, the image causing it  is not. When you don't recognize that, it seems, to you, that the audience is the cause of your anxiety. The way the fake-pill is mistakenly believed to cause pain relief and/or healing.
