Hi, I'm working on Psychology Research Article Review..
and it requires me to define bothe the key question the authors are addressing and the hypothesis they are testing.
I cannot understand the clear difference between the key research question and hypothesis.
Can anyone define these two terms with examples please?  ???

The hypothesis is a type of theoretical thesis statement - a conclusive statement which proposes a theory, for example, its a conjecture in a close reading for example before the evidence is shown in the essay. Its the main argument. It can be seen as more theoretical, than practical, since the practical comes from your examples, illustrations, etc.

The key question (s): Are those questions asked of the subject matter, say your hypothesis is: The plasticity of the brain permits the cure of mental health problems. What are the key questions your asking of this statement? The key challenges, might be how do biological factors influence this, etc.
