Howdy!
« on: January 03, 2009, 07:21:43 AM »
Hello everyone,
My name is Scott, you can call me S_R_S. I am from Texas. Don't say everything is bigger in Texas because Texias has only 5 letters while other states have more. I am a music major in college. Guitar is my main instrument, but I aslo play bass, drums, and keyboard.
I am fluent in English and Spanish. I am interested in psychology. I read a lot. I take Tae kwon do and Hapkido for fun. So watch it or I might kick your butt. =p

That's the basics. I am looking forward to seeing you guys and getting to know some of you.

Greets S_R_S.  We have quite a bit in common- psych, guitar players, and my main martial arts trainin' "partner" (always in quotes, 'cuz we believe in non-cooperation) is from Texas!

So, the obvious: who are your fave players?  What kinda gear you using?  As for MAs- what's your training like?

Hope you 'n yours had a great holiday...

Welcome, Scott!!  Ah, I love Texas!  Was there for 7 years -- my favorite state.  :D  Everything IS bigger in Texas!  :P

Another guitarist, yay! I'm not talented in that area, but am a fan of hearing strings strummed.

Welcome, hope you enjoy it here!

Corwin,
I like a lot of the country guitarist, such as Brent Mason, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, just to name a few. I own 8 electric guitars and 3 acoustic. I have 4 amps and 2 different peddle boards (made up of boss pedals.) My normal set up is a fender 2 speaker tube delux, my G&L tele, and my pedal board which consist of a blues driver, Wah-wah, tremolo, sparckle drive, tuning pedal and a few other things.

What is your set up like?

Danny Gatton FTW.

Anyway.  Have not been in a band for some time, save being the semi-official 4th member of the Worlds' One True Most Dangerous Band, OHM.  Recently sold some of my gear, since I've been working with them for 6 years.  What I've been using: Valley Arts Custom (kinda like an Anderson), a Gibson Explorer (tobacco), and a Takamine acoustic/electric.  These were being run thru two 2-12 cabinets with Eminence speaks in stereo via a Marshall Dual Mono-Bloc, Digitech GSP-2101, a "Snarling Dogs" wah, and a Fulltone vibe.  Will only be keeping the Explorer and Takamine, probably replacing the other stuff with some sort of modeling combo.
