I'm always so anxious. What do I do?
« on: June 16, 2010, 06:37:20 PM »
I am 19-years old and since I reached sexual maturity I have been a wreck of anxiety and panic. I have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression. I'm also a recovering self-harmer.  :(

Most days of my life I feel I am panicking about something and I really wish to stop. Right now, my greatest concern is about attending university. I worry about having a total mental breakdown from the workload. If I go slower then I panic about being worthless compared to my peers, whom would be going at a faster rate than myself. If I took only 2-3 courses, it would take me 5-7 years to complete a 3 year degree. It is an online university; I would be doing it entirely from home, but still I panic and have mental breakdowns. I'm terrified of attending a tertiary educational institution.  :(

How do I not panic about university? Isn't there anyway I could live happily, without panicking all the time?  :(

what do you know about anxiety and panic?

That will be your first step to recovery. understand as fully as you can what is happening to you  biologically, psychologically and emotionally.
The so-called miraculous powers of a great master are a natural accompaniment to his exact understanding of subtle laws that operate in the inner cosmos of consciousness.
