Looking for God
« on: June 24, 2008, 07:15:17 PM »
I have found that when one is feeling down it is spiritually healthy to look for God. I am not advocating here that prayer will make you better. But sometimes just the belief that better things can come can reinforce healthier behaviors into your brain and lead to an overall better psyche. Try it out if you are depressed, I have seen it work for people close to me in the past.

Hope is a powerful motivational force. The belief in god provides that hope for some. This true as much for psychosis as it is for depression.

I am a believer , though I don't belong anymore to any religious denomination.
I must say that in times when I used to pray and meditate every day to God I had many premonitory dreams .

I have to say that when i meditated and used prayer I had some great experiences. While I recognise this I cannot bring myself back to these practices. I use time as an excuse and although i am very busy I should really make more of an effort and make some time.
