Why does mind matter? Especially in mental health?

The health of the mind is what mental health is about.

The mind is the central point of experience, the mind is the point that processes reality.
If the mind is ill, the processing of reality is disturbed, the persons existence is disturbed, a person will not function at an optimal level if they have mental disorder.

Did you have something in mind when you ask this question? something particular that you are trying to understand?
