Seasonal Affective Disorder

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a popularised name given to describe depression that happens during particular seasons of the year.In this type of disorder,a person  experiences depression during the autumn or winter months which would be Major Depressive Disorder, recurrent, with Seasonal Pattern.  We call this form of depression Seasonal Affective Disorder. The symptoms of this type of disorder occurs during the autumn and winter seasons because the days are shorter and there is less exposure to natural sunlight. While,during the spring and summer seasons,there is greater exposure to longer hours of daylight,thus the symptoms of depression disappear.
