There are many methods of handling stress. Some are positive and healthy other are harmful or destructive.

1. Sleep

4.Try to adopt a more relaxed , philosophical outlook
5. expand your social support system apart from your co-workers

I feel the best weapon that you can have against stress is patience. I know it might not sound related but think about it, if you have the patience to fight through this problematic period with little or no stress on your mind, you will have nothing to manage at all. hehehehe

however, its better said than done in this case....

Hey right on. no stress no management required. But why do you say that its better said than done.  We have the thing in ourselves to do it. I mean be patient right... :)

Stress is a handmaiden of modern life. But it is possible to convert stress-building thoughts into stress-busting ones.  Stress is the most common cause of ill health in our society, probably underlying as many as 70% of all visits to family doctors. It is also the one problem that every doctor shares with every patient. This presents physicians with two advantages:
It is an issue we can relate to experientially so we can use ourselves as a reference point.
In studying and better understanding stress, we can derive personal as well as professional benefits.

Another way to reduce stress in the body is through certain disciplines which fall under the heading of relaxation techniques. When it comes down to it, anything that places stress on our bodies will cause us to age prematurely and lead us down the path towards disease and eventually death. We believe that we can maintain a high quality of life and extend our lives by many years by understanding stress and taking action to reduce stress.

As I am sure has been previously mentioned but I believe that it is truly helpful is finding an alternative means of relaxation. Whether that is through - music - meditation - yoga - aromatherapy - hot bubble baths - baseball - whatever. Having something you can actually get your body in the habit of doing as a stress reducer I believe helps train your body to recognize that act and after time will trigger your body to relax once that act is taken on,.
