Stress on Family
« on: May 31, 2008, 07:15:24 PM »
We always look at how dementia affects the individual that is inflicted with this tragic ailment, however we always seem to forget about the family and friends that have to deal with it. My grandma for example was diagnosed with it and she began forgetting everything, including what she did hours ago. So she had to move in with us and we had to basically follow her around and make sure she did this and that. It drove us all insane (not literally). But it was a lot of stress upon us and caused many arguments and disputes amongst the family.

A disorder can always be a pain for the whole family, whichever type it may be...However, it should not mean that it can cause you feel that way....Those our relatives and they need our help....if we cannot help them and feel aggrieved in their hour of needs, what else can we expect from our own siblings....

Family relationships provide a certain link to your past and future that you can't get elsewhere. Whether you have a close or conflicted relationship with family, it can help to have better communication and undetstand the dynamics you all play, so you can reap the benefits of close family relationships if at all possible.Stress at home can affect job and school performance, which in turn causes more stress. For this reason and many others, maintaining a stress-free home environment is very important.

This is normal things happen in a family with several generations. For example in this case, they are living with 3 generations under 1 roof. Just imagine, what will you feel if you were in your grandmother position?

maybe it is just my perverse and corrupted mind but that sounds wrong, sick infact!
The so-called miraculous powers of a great master are a natural accompaniment to his exact understanding of subtle laws that operate in the inner cosmos of consciousness.
