What feeling is this?
« on: December 06, 2011, 06:15:04 PM »
I feel my wife's physical pain emotionally. She refuses to get any kind of long term help for it. Everyone that knows her also sees it. It's causing me to make myself emotionally and physically sick as well. I now believe the statement "look out for number one"! I have tried to get professionals to help her and she has refused. What does one person do who has tried all methods to help...to no avail?

My mental health is straining our marriage and me. I will never understand why nobody can help her because she is harming herself and me by her illness's yet I cannot get her any help because you cannot make a person do anything against their will even if everybody is aware of there problem. Where is peoples common sense and so called compassion for another person? I feel her pain and I cannot help her for it's effecting me emotionally. Feedback please. pljames

Dude. Life is very hard. Loving someone else is a risk. It makes you vulnerable, but it can be beautiful at the same time. When someone else suffers especially someone you care about it hurts and it is draining. We all are mortal. We suffer physically and mentally. When someone we care about suffers it causes us to feel compassion. That is only natural. People live and die. I have experienced a number of people I care about suffer physically and many die. It is very hard to do, but we have no choice. Do the best you can to help and realize it is part of the process. We are all born dieing. It is not when we go, but where we go that matters. Earl

hard science: Are you really that stupid? To draw these idiotic conclusions with absolutly no evidence to back them up. If you had any understanding of human nature? Or actual knowledge of Psychology? You would see that pljames is doing everthing possible to help and support his wife. Again I believe this is more projection on your part. You statements are actually refering to yourself.
