What is Bulimia, What is Anorexia?

I wonder if anyone can clarify for me exactly what is meant by bulimia? I thought that bulimia sufferers were the ones that eat, and then make themselves vomit, but some say that bulimia is just an abnormal obsession with food.

Are bulimia and anorexia two completely different things?

I would welcome some clarification on the subject.
