Zoloft
« on: June 03, 2008, 11:47:02 AM »
I just saw a new psychiatrist today and he's decided to put me on zoloft. I was on Effexor for a year about a year ago and I gained 50 pounds before I came off. I'm on 5-HTP right now and aside from the lack of sleep and occasional panic attack, I'm doing ok.

My concern is this: insomnia seems to be a pretty common side effect of zoloft. I already have insomnia. How bad is it as a side effect and does it go away?
Does Zoloft even treat insomnia?
Does anyone think it's wise to start on zoloft when one of its primary side effects is something I'm already severely afflicted by?
