Livin in the south west taught me a thing or two about peppers. I was with some friends and we were at a resturant. A friend of theirs from the north east saw a jar of pickled jalapanos that were sliced, and said "Oh I love Okra" He chomped down several of them before anyone could warn him. He let out a scream so loud. It was pretty funny. He chugged a whole beer and he didn't even drink beer. Alchohol doesn't desolve the capsaicin, but it numbs the mouth a little.
