Assimilation

Cultures have been assimilating for centuries, and usually it brings about new ideas and even new inventions or concepts. I would like to discuss the psychological aspect of cultural assimilation however. If anyone has any thoughts on this, please share.

I would like to know a bit more about what you mean by cultural assimlation.

Is it the way in which cultures take from other cultures and make integrate things into their own ways and culture.

An example of what i thinking about might be macdonalds and junk food companies that orignated in westernised cultures being integrated into all culture and societies worldwide. Perahps this is globalisation.

Or were you thinking about something more to do with psychology maybe the consciousness of a culture.
