Legalization of Marijuana and Psychedelics
« on: December 09, 2010, 03:41:23 AM »
What do you guys think? I am for it....
Marijuana:
1. Considerably harmless compared to such widely accepted substances such as alcohol and cigarettes.
2. Not physically addictive. Although a minor mental addiction does occurs.
3. Proved to have positive medicinal effects from arthritis to Crohn's Disease.
4. Lots of money has been wasted on the war on drugs when lots of profit can be gained by legalization.
5. It is a natural herb. Along with green tea, cranberries, ginseng, etc...
6. It increases the ability for meditation and "self insight".
7. Increases creativity, interests in certain activities, brings friends together, and brings users closer to nature.
8. Quitting is fairly easy for most. I know this by experience. I have smoked weed daily for several years and went cold turkey one day. I did NOT feel "irritated", "sad", "fiendish", or any other withdrawal symptoms.
9. And who doesn't like to take a load off there chest and get blazed once in a while??  ;D

As for psychedelics such as LSD, MDMA, and Psilocybin:
1. "
2. "
3. Proved to be of effective use in clinical settings, more so in psychotherapy.
4. If you have ever experienced a psychedelic experience(a positive one), you will never be the same... The experience is undescribable and is absolutely not something to be so uptight about...

So what do you guys think? I'd like to hear some legitimate opinions!

I have somewhere a very interesting book on research into harmalin.

LSD is not for everyone but from the point of view of an artist it is something very special

Yes and yes.
That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

The point of view with which we travel thru life can often be improved?
New PV or just a glimpse that there is something else.

Horton.

Definitely yes for marijuana and hashish. As far as hard drugs are concerned I know them from the other side- young people on wheelchairs and sometimes a pipe to their stomach after accidental overdoses so for me it's pretty discouraging. Honestly I never suspected before drugs can put you on wheelchair. And if you could buy them in the shop, for sure more people would give it a try.
