POEM: The First Night

The First Night

Why do your eyes stay so, so blue?
Just let your hair down
It's always you
You're in my mind now
Nothing is new
One thing I love about
You is you

Why does your smile turn down into a frown?
Just lift your chin up
Off of the ground
No need to worry
If I'm around
I've seen the Light and it
Shows what it shows in it
That everything is a
Great big reunion

Why does the sky match your look?
I wonder what
The past, it took.
You look around for your
Perfect life
And it seems that it's slipping
Right through your fingers...

And no it's not me
And you know it's not me
I'm out drifting in the sea, Three, sea
Oh no, it's not me

Off of the ground

I think I want to change this to:

Just lift your chin up
Up off the ground

It just makes it more unique and stands out.

In the last part I wrote "sea, Three, sea".  The "Three" is a reference to Binah, the first Supernal Sephira on the Qabalistic Tree of Life that one approaches after crossing the Abyss.  A journey I look forward to making some day.    Subjective symbolism, subjective symbolism, subjective symbolism...
