Religion: flame, behavior, chaos and salvation
« on: June 02, 2011, 09:32:05 PM »
Hey forum, as some of you might know already this topic was created on the purpose of completing a senior project. if you did not know that...

here you go -> http://psychology-forum.com/members-only/introductions-and-requests/msg15071/#new

anyways it was suggested even before I begin observations of human behavior, patterns, norms and customs pertaining to religion; that I analyze and present my own belief structure.

I also happen to mention that doing that will take a very long time. So I will break down my "preaching" (X_X) into smaller posts that people can respond, critique and interact upon.

Here's a rough outline of how I'll present my own beliefs
- religion in general
- Christianity, roman catholic, Jehovah and Allah  (Mormonism lol)
- shamanism
- religion based on known human philosophy (Buddha, Confucius, Scientology)
- science and evolution (may entwine with subjects above)
- logic...
- questions existent and questions that arise from topic posts

hopefully this should clear most of my religious view points up and then get started on the real deal which might even have to be a whole new topic/thread now that I think about it

gone

the point of the post is what exactly?
maybe I'm missing something but how does that clear up your religious view points?

all this says is you (for some unknown reason) value mormonism and scientology as lesser than the others as you laugh at one (lol) and cross the other one out!
why do you believe they are lesser or laughable religions and the other ones not laughable or lesser, why do you make this distinction?

This isn't my full view point to religion, this is just and outline of how I'm going to explain my view points. I haven't even started yet, but I'm going to start with religion in general.

which means it's how I'll do it chronologically, not "here it is"

all the cross outs and such will be explained later on when I get to them
