I need to interview a psychologist please!
« on: March 23, 2012, 09:17:18 PM »
Hello there, I am a high school student in my senior year. I am going to major in clinical psychology with hopes to become a clinical psychologist. I want to help those who suffer from psychological disorders.

I have an assignment for my leadership class where I need to interview someone in my major and write a speech about it. I need a psychologist with at least a B.S. degree to answer these questions.

Here are the questions:

1) Why did you choose the career you have right now? Was this the field you always wanted to follow?

2) Where/when did you attend school? How many schools have you attended? Did you graduate within four years? If not, how long did it take to complete your degree?

3) Describe some of the obstacles/problems you encountered during your college experience: financial, family, personal, academic, etc.

4) How did you overcome these problems? What kept you motivated? Were there times when you wanted to quit?

5) If you had to do it over, what, if anything would you do differently?

6) In retrospect, was earning your degree worth the effort you put into obtaining it?

If you do not feel comfortable answering some of these questions, you do not have to answer those.

Thank you in advance :)
