Bi-Sexuality
« on: December 29, 2008, 12:42:48 AM »
Does anyone know, statistically speaking, if certain industries (where there is a focal figure) have a higher rate of bi-sexuality.  i.e. industries such as music
Competition can only exist within the ignorance of intelligence

Different industries, such as music and design tend to have a reputation for not only bi-sexual people, but in general sexually promiscuous people. That being said, I know there was a study conducted on the music industry, some time ago, where it was released that 25-35% of artists surveyed admitted to some sort of same-sex act at one time.  It is important to state that I do not recall how scientific that study was, and I do not know for example, if they interviewed only rock artists and painters, or if they covered a wide group. It has recently come out (no pun intended) that country music singers have outed themselves as bisexual or gay, and that industry has long been thought of as very conservative, and staunchly pro-family and anti-gay. I find this interesting, as one who has been inside the "establishment" of music, and has been very familiar with many in the business for a number of years, and knew personally artists who were both bisexual and gay as well.

Interesting. The only thing I know about this is what my organ professor told me once, that is in our little universe (organ guys) there are many homosexuals. How much many, he did not tell. I don't know if this is somehow related to what the pipes eventually represent in the subconscious level (in dream analysis they symbolize the penis).

Music industries tend to focus on the subject at hand.  If it's sexuality, that's what will be conveyed.  If the video or music has an underlying theme of bi-sexuality it can be conveyed.  Music industries want money./  As long as they get money, they're happy...

Music listeners do two things.

1. They listen to the words of music.
2. They listen to the music (Turning off the words in their minds)

Either way, the words can have a hypnotic effect on people, if they're subject to it.

What ever the music is trying to convey through the artistry...it can get through.

If the music is conveying bi-sexuality and the song writer is trying to show that on a conscious and unconscious manner...it can get through...

Then, bisexual messages can get through.

Statistically speaking?  They all do...really?

As long as they make money!
