Hi everyone.
I'm 18 years old, and I'm kinda... Serious person. I don't like childish stuff, like stupid jokes, pretending being a stupid, stupid phrases, etc. However, the people (16-17 years old) I'm at school with, does like such stuff, especially to put this stuff on teachers. Yes, it's funny, but i don't wanna laugh at those things, but i do... Even though i don't like them. They sometimes even make me nervous, when teacher's saying some nice, interesting story, someone puts some crappy joke. Then the teacher gets nervous, gives us a lot of work to do, and does not tell the story then for example.
Anyway, i meet those immature people every day, I've to deal with them sometimes. Sometimes, my old classmates (with whom I'm not very friendly, they are not with me) tries to pull some joke on me, they do, etc. Childish joke of course.

Anyway, how could i deal with them? I mean... How to talk with them, if for example they are trying to pull a joke on me? Or just how not to laugh from those stupid jokes? Basically I am laughing about the stupidness of them, not the joke itself... How to do that?

Hi!
You`re 18! You`ve already have a lot of principles, your own life position. As I understand you`re a serious and clever person and tha`s very good! But  you have to understand that our world is full of different people. Many of them understand more than you and many of people understand less than you. That`s normal.
The main for you is  to choose the "company" where you want to be.As I understand you`ve made a choice and you take pleasure in being with serious,well-educated people.Well.  So you have to find such people, and you don`t have to take up your classmates close to heart if their thougts are  not "match" you.
But you`ll tell me:"I am staying with them at school, how can I not take up their behaviour close?"
"Not to take up close": I mean:  not argue with them ,tell your opinion if smb.asks you(not about everything you see is happening in your class),try to learn mocking on yourself(if you made a mistake),try to win their confidence(e.g.you can paint or doing smth.else best of all),help your classmates, but in your thoughts always remember what do you want in this life and don`t allow to humiliate yourself or chage you ideas about good exemplary behaviour. Try to find arguments againts smb`s silly jokes or don`t pay attention at all(it depends on situation).
So try to "feel" this world.(But don`t  forget about people`s envy).Everithing will be OK!
I don`t know if I am right in my reasonings, I can make a mistake( I don`t know you),so I think if you have problems you must consult with your parents!

It sounds like you're in high school so you pretty much have no choice but to deal with immature stupidity.

Being serious is all well and good, but if you can't appreciate a good fart joke, you won't make it far in this world (because everyone will think you're boring and awkward). Fortunately for you, it sounds like you can, your problem is just that you don't want to admit you can appreciate a good fart joke because it conflicts with your idea of yourself.

Adults understand that you need to be good at being serious, but you also need to be good at not being serious and just having fun. If you can't do the former you'll work for McDonald's, and if you can't do the latter you'll have no friends (and probably work for your tax agency!). The way you need to see it is not that your classmates are less intelligent than you, but may simply not be interested in the subjects or teaching method or some other thing. If you look at it from their point of view, I hope (as a serious and intelligent person) that you can appreciate that they think you are bad and stupid at the "things that are important," just as much as you think of them for interrupting class.

Take the chance to learn how to deal with people who are different from you instead of isolating and strongly defining yourself in the negative (i.e. "They are stupid, therefore I'm smart" is a negative definition of yourself) so early - you have around 60 more years to prune away people and activities you don't like, so don't start in high school unless you want to handicap your social skills and network and end up smoking pot and playing X-box in a small apartment for the rest of your life.

Thanks for answers.
Hmmm, yes, that's true, i shouldn't isolate myself. In fact, I'm friendly with those guys, but they very often have those stupid habits, which i hate.
As for fart jokes, yea, some of them are funny, that i admit, i laugh at them, but most of the time, i laugh of "how the hell, they can think of something that stupid? Are they that stupid or something? Damn...". That's about my thought, from which i laugh, as how a person can be so stupid.

Anyway, thanks for help. ;)
