Silence in conversations, sometimes being out of topics (my relatives and me).

Hi everyone. When I'm talking to my relatives, or people, that are supposed to know me good, sometimes friends, They/I am/are running out of topics. Like, i see others talking non-stop every day, almost everyone. So how come, that people are not talking to me non-stop? I mean, I'm talking about something, or ask something, but the answer often is very short from their side. Or they don't say anything, after i finish my "talk". Seems like I'm boring, or they think, that I'm stupid, or something. I'm not sure. What could be the reason?

P.S. those people over in that topic are not people i know. They don't know me, they haven't even talked to me, or very little, haven't had a real conversation with them, so this reason in this topic is not related to that topic's question, i think.

It may be that since you know those people so well you don't have much to talk about since you have already shared a lot. It may be that everyone interacts with each other differently, so maybe they are kind of clicking more with other people that interact in a different way. Like some people more enjoy talking about politics, or gossip etc. So sometimes just people are more looking for the type of conversation that they enjoy to really get into it with someone else. it may be that what you enjoy talking about just doesn't match up the same as what these people are interested in.  It may also be the situations too, it may be putting people more on edge. I personally notice that I can talk for hours on the phone with someone, but when I am seeing them in person just some things are different. Sometimes conversations are harder to keep going since there are other things we may be trying to do or something. Or if there are other people around it changes the dynamic of the situation.
