What should i do?
« on: May 20, 2009, 02:48:23 AM »
I feel weird doing this, asking help from strangers but i have no other way to ask for advice.  This is a long story....but I'll make it short.

I have a very good friend (boy). I am coming over to spend vacation with him this summer. He knows that, and he's very excited and happy. but the problem is, he has a girlfriend. He tells me that they are "not talking" and will eventually split up. I believe him because i did hear this before and he's just not telling me this now. But at the same time, why don't they just break up? I'm very confused, i am still going on vacation with him, but i'm scared to do anything. i feel like i am the "third person" and i feel guilty. I don't want any drama and i don't want to regret anything. Also at the same time, he is always talking about sex and what we would do. i think it is so wrong because he has a girlfriend. i am not sure if he's serious or anything. Please help me! I don't know what to do...  ???

I think you be upfront with this guy!

If you like him...tell him that theres no way he has a chance with you unless he gets rid of the girlfriend first.

If you don't like him then tell him you dont feel confortablehaving that sort of conversation with him and ask him to stop!

If he cares he will respect your wishes.

But if he does get rid of the girlfriend, dont be too hasty about getting together, make him work for it because you want him to respect you!

I hope this helps.  If you need anymore advice then let me know!

Well, it is a tough situation. But, I think that you have to look at the situation objectively rather than emotionally. The guy already has a girlfirend whom he could go back to anytime he wants...whereas you and he do not have any "confirmed" sort of relationship. He might be spending time with you because he cannot be with his gf. The best thing to do would be to have a platonic relationship with him. If you want to go further(like having sex with him), it is up to you..if you feel that you can take it in your stride when he goes back to his gf(which he is bound to since he did not commit to you!), then, go ahead...but, the final decision is in your hands..... 8)
