Why is it hard for me to keep friends?
« on: May 22, 2011, 03:55:03 PM »
i'm a 29 year old well accomplished individual (career wise speaking)
yet i'm annoyingly falling behind when it comes to socializing.
i can't remember the last time i actually went out i think it's last summer or something.
when asked why don't i go out, my immediate reply would be: i don't have time!
my day starts at 8 am and doesnt end till 9:30 pm.
but even though it's true, i know i can squeeze things in or do things on the weekends!

i have trouble keeping friends, that's if i started to gain any to begin with.
i've never been in a relationship.
and right now, writing this i'm thinking of the same thing i've been wondering for a while.
i'm wondering how/what caused me to be such an anti social person, i'm willing to fix whtever that may be as long as i can pinpoint it!
i remember as a kid i used to have lots of friends... but then i dont know wht happened. i stopped having any!

don't get me wrong i sometimes enjoy solitude, i'm not one of those PR like ppl though i do think that having a friend or so is nice every now and then!

NB: i have a bunch of online ppl whom i constantly keep in touch with on a daily basis..
and at work i have a few ppl that i tend to spend time with (at work) more than others..
but i can't seem to get things more than just that!
online/work buddies..

this appear to be about deciding how you want to spend your time and who with, do you really want to socializze more, how often, to what degree, and who with, in what context. figuring out how you would like your social life to be really.

then making some short term goals related to social activity and planning how you will meet those goals.
The so-called miraculous powers of a great master are a natural accompaniment to his exact understanding of subtle laws that operate in the inner cosmos of consciousness.
